You guys are treating your 9-12 year olds like they are teenagers, when they are still very much so little kids. I’m a “helicopter” parent during this season of life so I don’t have to be when she’s a teenager. We are laying the groundwork for them to be successful humans. Teach them boundaries. Teach them to be kind (especially to customer service workers).
